A. First of all, congratulations on choosing this truly rewarding and challenging field! You can start by exploring our Subject Page called Becoming a Teacher. You will need to contact your state's Department of Education for requirements and timelines. You may want to use our Message Board for more support and advice. Best of luck to you!

Q. How can I add my web site to the Elementary School Educators site?

A. If you have an educational site with information relevant to K-6 Educators, please send me an email at k-6educators.guide@about.com. Please avoid submitting purely commercial sites or sites that contain nothing but links to other pages. Also, please offer a suggestion of which Subject page your site would best fit into.

A. There are several web sites that offer guidance in this area. Please visit the Help for Parents section for all of the sites I've found so far. If you know of more, let me know!

A. Your child is lucky to have such a caring parent to help them. I would be more than happy to offer my opinion, but you can receive a wide variety of opinions and advice, including mine, on our Educator Message Board. Try it out and see what happens.
